House of Worship Applications|
Auditory
Assistance: As our population ages, the number of congregants with hearing
impairment increases. Statistics show that over 10 percent of our
population suffers from one form of hearing impairment or another. How
many members of a congregation stop coming to services because of
frustration in hearing the message? And don't
limit yourself. Since you can add an infinite number of receivers to a
single transmitter, that means you can be using the system for personal
auditory assistance receivers, overflow in the nursery, cueing for the
ushers and audio recording devices, all with the same ALS system. |

There are a wide variety of
earphones
(even a neckloop for hear aids), to make your system comfortable and
convenient for your members. |

Soundfields:
Do
you need audio in another room or even for an outside service? The term
"SoundFields" refers to any sound amplification system set up
for a specific area. This can include small rooms that traditionally
haven't received amplification systems, overflow areas such as foyers or
hallways, or even outdoor pavilions. Soundfields
are perfect for Easter Services when congregations suddenly increase. You
can easily add additional overflow capacity whether in one large room or
multiple classrooms -- it doesn't matter how many personal receivers or
stationary receivers with speakers you want to use. If you decide to go
out-of-doors for a sunrise service, wireless audio transports easily and
is set up in minutes, eliminating the need for wiring or complicated
systems. |

Language
Interpretation: Some worship centers hold multiple meetings to accommodate
minority members. Other meetings utilize "consecutive
interpretation" - where the speaker says a sentence, and the
interpreter repeats it in the alternate language. While both systems work,
they can be time consuming, cause building scheduling problems, and make
congregations feel more disconnected and segregated. Simultaneous
interpretation with a wireless audio system lets everyone meet together,
and even offers the chance for multiple interpreted languages in the same
meeting. |

In-Ear
Monitoring for Choirs and Ushers: The latest trend in church choirs is to
provide in-ear direction from the conductor. Each choir member is given an
unobtrusive personal receiver, while the chorister uses a LT-700
Portable Transmitter and microphone
so they can give directions easily to the singers or musicians. Similarly,
ushers can wear receivers to hear the service and know to what point it
has progressed to in order to minimize disruptions. They can also receive
instructions from a director in the sound booth that can see available
seating. And, as a
side note, they also can hear the service on the same auditory assistance
frequency, even if they are outside the sanctuary or even in the parking
lot! |

Camcorder / Special Event Recordings:
Tired of hearing as much of the audience as the performance on the
recording of your special event? Coughing, whispering, and people moving
about aren't picked up by the facility's sound system, so you can get a
clean audio feed by using a personal receiver and camcorder adapter cable.
No longer do proud parents have to listen to the background noise during
the youth pageant, or hear the fussing of children during wedding tapes. |

Meeting Monitoring: Want to record a board or committee meeting? Or
do you have staff that can't attend the meeting due to other duties? The LT-700
Portable Transmitter can be used for auditory assistance in the
meeting, as well as providing monitoring for other staff or recording
devices. Simply use a Listen microphone
(like the LA-277
Conference Microphone). Similarly, telephone calls can be
monitored by using a LA-263
Line/Microphone "Y" Cable with your
teleconferencing equipment. |

youth group members and be sure everyone gets the directions? Your ALS
system (with an LT-700
Portable Transmitter and personal
receivers) is completely portable. Using it at your worship
center or away, it doesn't matter ... but it does add value and
functionality to your wireless audio system! |
